How can I Support You?

Being a birth doula, I am there to give you continuous physical, emotional and informational support for the duration of your pregnancy, labor and birth. My main focus is really connecting with you on a deeper level. Remember, birth is very intimate and vulnerable. There will be times we laugh together or maybe we cry together. This isn’t just a business transaction to me. I am there to help you move towards the birth you have envisioned. I trust that women know what is best for their bodies and their babies when they know all their options and can make those decisions.

During our time together:

  • I suggest we meet two times; 2nd & 3rd trimester. This is to get to know each other, discuss birth preferences and comfort measures. This is great for asking questions, going through your goals, and fears. I encourage you to bring your partner so we can all discuss together.

  • Assistance building your birth preferences

  • In-person labor support at home and/or your birth location, when you need me

  • Amateur photography to capture intimate moments during your birth story

  • On-call support starting at 38 weeks

  • Individualized resources and referrals to support your specific needs

  • Access to lending library

  • Unlimited phone, text and email support to answer your questions and offer suggestions and support throughout pregnancy and early labor

  • Postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the birth of your baby and recap your birth experience.

Whether it’s your first baby or your tenth, a doula can help improve your birth and postpartum experience.
